The Hotel de la Fleche d'Or is positioned in a great location in Paris. It's a a busy, bustling part of the city and a short stroll will take you to the enormous and wonderfully ornate Galeries Lafayette department store where you'll do well to stop your credit card from getting a mind of it's own! The nearby Opera Garnier is also a major attraction, while the bustling Paris nightlife exists all over the city from the Champs Elysees to the Pigalle.
Of course the metro connection means you can get anywhere in the city, so be sure to take in the Eiffel Tower and get yourself over to the Arc de Triomphe where the Paris's 12 avenues connect. Restaurants are everywhere in this city and if you step out of the hotel you'll soon bump into some decent places to eat, or just ask the staff and they'll be more than happy to give you a few pointers.

Paris has excellent public transport links and the Hotel de la Fleche d'Or is well positioned to take advantage of them:
Rail Connection: The Gare St-Lazare is the nearest over-ground station and is just over the road from the Rue d'Amsterdam where the hotel is.
Metro Connection: The nearest metro connection is St. Lazare, from here it's about a 2 minute walk to the hotel.
Bus Connection: A wealth of bus routes converge at the Galeries Lafayette taking you all over Paris. It's just across from the hotel.
How To Get From The Nearest Airport
The nearest airport to the Hotel de la Fleche d'Or is Charles de Gaulle and it's one of the busiest airports in Europe so there's no shortage of transport links:
By Train/Metro: The SNCF train service links Charles de Gaulle Airport with the Gare du Nord over-ground station. Trains run every 15 minutes (eight minutes at peak times) taking approximately 40 minutes. Line B (blue), runs from the TGV station at Terminal 2 via the Gare du Nord rail station to Chatelet les Halles station. From here take the SNCF line A (red) to Haussman St Lazare and the hotel is just across the way.
By Bus: Roissybus runs a service that stops at all three terminals of Charles de Gaulle Airport going to rue Scribe in the Opera area - this is roughly a 5 minute walk from the hotel. It takes approximately 45 minutes and runs every 15 minutes or so between 6am and 10:30pm.
By Taxi: It takes around 45 minutes to drive to the hotel if traffic isn't too bad.
How To Get To Paris's Top Attractions
Opera Garnier - This famous old Opera House is the original home of the 'Phantom of the Opera'. Built by Napoleon III, it's a fascinating blend of architectural styles and it's not short on extravagance either. From the Hotel de la Fleche d'Or walk down the Rue d'Amsterdam to the Place de l'Opera and there it is.
Eiffel Tower - See the soaring tower that has become the French icon of icons. It's an amazing sight by day or night and an absolute must. From Gare St Lazare metro platform take metro line 9 (light green) to Trocadero metro station, and change for line 6 (turquoise) to Bir-Hakeim metro station - the tower is only a short walk from here.
Eiffel Tower – This is the monument to beat all monuments in France and will undoubtedly figure somewhere in your plans. Just because you can see it from the rooms in the hotel it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t actually head over there as it’s well worth seeing up close! Built in the 1800’s as a temporary structure for a fair, it has become synonymous with all things French and is an integral, and wonderful part of the Parisian skyline by day or night.
From Anvers metro station take line 2 (dark blue) to Charles de Gaulle Etoile, change for line 6 (turquoise) to Bir-Hakeim where you can walk over to the Eiffel Tower.
Arc de Triomphe - You'll see this famous arch from the Eiffel Tower. A total of 12 streets meet below this impressive landmark and the views from up top are quite incredible. At the bottom there's a monument to those who died in World War 2 called the 'Tomb of the Unknown Soldier'. From Saint Lazare metro station take line 3 (mustard colour) to Villiers metro station and change to metro line 2 (dark blue) for Charles de Gaulle Etoile metro station. The arch is right here.
