Parc Monceau

Paris
This is a charming park, which can be found in Paris 8. Park Monceau has been the property of the city of Paris since 1860.

The park itself was designed back in 1760 by Duv de Chartres and was one of the first landscaped parks to be created in the city. The entrance to the park lies on Boulevard de Courcelles where Monceau metro station is also located.

The park is enjoyed by so many, and you’ll be surprised to hear it is famous more so for its “English style” rather than its French! Plants and scrubs are laid out in no particular order yet it blends in perfectly with the park.

While here look out for the different statues of well known French figures that are placed all over – again they are in no particular order - yet this adds to the mood of the park. You’ll see loads of different monuments here, which vary from an Egyptian pyramid to a Dutch windmill!

The locals just adore this park! Located in the heart of the city, it is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all!
